Potluck with Karen and JuriYou’re invited to a special potluck on Saturday, September 6 at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Room! This will be a wonderful opportunity to welcome Karen and Juri from Berlin and spend time together as a church family. The evening will be informal, filled with good food, fellowship, and maybe even a lighthearted game or two to help us get to know our guests (and a few other faces) a little better. We’re keeping it relaxed, but we think you’ll really enjoy the time together. Bring a dish to share, an appetite for conversation, and come ready for some fun! |

Alpha Let's face it, at some point we've all struggled with how to share our faith with someone we care about. Alpha makes that process as easy as inviting someone to a meal and a conversation. You don't have to have all the answers. In fact, it's ok if you have more questions than answers! Why not invite someone to explore those questions with you by attending Alpha!

Let's Celebrate!Our church steeple base was crumbling from weather. As part of making sure we steward our building well, the steeple repair was added to the praise plan. A couple of members donated to getting the steeple fixed. The steeple is in great shape now! Bill Crowe, Todd Dye and Bill Davis collaborated together on a plan to fix the steeple base and it looks great! The solution for this should keep us from having to repair it again. When you see these three awesome guys, be sure to say thank you. As you are coming and going just take a look at the great work they did on helping keep the building looking good. |

Remember Nhu UpdateThank you for faithfully supporting the Remember Nhu girls homes in Kenya through your prayers and through your financial gifts. Some of you sponsor girls directly through Remember Nhu, and others give by designating funds to Remember Nhu through our church. Both are a blessing, and we are grateful. This update is about the special fund set up here at Living Vine, which is used to meet additional needs for the girls in Kenya. When our team visited in 2023, God impressed on us three priorities for this fund: helping the girls continue their education, providing for their health through shoes, vitamins, and deworming tablets, and giving them the means to reach out to their communities once they are settled into their new homes. Although the homes are still tied up in court decisions, your giving has continued to meet urgent needs for health and education. The wait has been long, but we hold on to the promise of Galatians 6:9–10: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” God is at work even in the waiting. This semester, 33 students are enrolled in post-high school education, whether university, college diploma, or vocational training. Their needs for the term amount to only $4,000, and we are thankful to report that God has already provided through your giving and through the additional support of their sponsors. What a testimony of His faithfulness! Looking ahead, we know the need will grow. By the end of this fall, the account will be nearly depleted, and in January we will again be paying for another term of school. That request may be higher, since the grant Remember Nhu provides for each graduating student may have been completely used by then. Would you prayerfully consider giving to the Remember Nhu Project Fund so that these girls can continue to thrive in health, education, and faith? Your partnership makes a lasting difference. Summer Youth GroupThe Fall Kickoff of Fusion Youth Group is here! We are looking forward to a great night at youth group. There will be fun and games. There will be worship. There will be a biblically based message. There will be friends. There will be lots of snacks. We will open the doors each week at 6:15 for students to come in and enjoy hanging out together, snacks, the game room, and the gym before we get started!
