"When you are in Christ, you become a new creation. The old is gone, the new has arrived!" (2 Corinthians 5:17)

We're excited to stand with you as you publicly declare your faith. Ready to take the plunge? Let us know and we'll be thrilled to guide you through this unforgettable experience filled with joy and meaning.

Easter Services

Easter Services

Good Friday Service
Imagine yourself sitting at a table with some really important people that you deeply cared about. The host of the gathering stands up and says, “This will be my last meal with you.” How would you be feeling? What would be going through your mind? How would you respond to that news?
That’s exactly what happened for the disciples on the night Jesus was arrested. It was a wide mix of emotions and trying to make sense of how such an amazing 3 1/2 year journey with Jesus could be coming to sudden end.
You are invited to participate in a special Good Friday service where we look back at the last supper and how it points us to the significance of the cross and what Jesus came to accomplish. Plan to come on Friday, April 18th at 6:30pm

Easter
When you think of Easter what comes to mind? For some it’s candy, eggs. bunnies. Reese’s!!!  For others it’s family, spring time, and the pre-summer planning. But when it comes to church, it’s the greatest day of celebration. Easter is all about celebrating the resurrection of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Easter Sunday is also one of the most attended Sundays every year. So while you make all of your Easter preparations, be sure to also invite those whom you know that would benefit from hearing the message of Jesus on this important Sunday.
This Easter we will be beginning a new series on the sermon on the mount called , “The day God talked about everything.” You won’t want to miss it.

Missions Update

Missions Update

Remember Nhu
We want to share a brief update on the Remember Nhu court case in Kenya. As we had hoped and expected, the higher court retained the case. The next court date was scheduled for Monday, March 17th, with the objective of laying out the process moving forward. Remember Nhu's lawyers were in attendance, and we should receive an update on the proceedings soon.
The reason we have not yet heard the results is that Joseph, the Kenyan field director for Remember Nhu, tragically lost his mother on March 16th. He has been away from communication since then. Please keep Joseph and his family in your prayers during this difficult time.
We will share any further updates as soon as we receive them. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Vision Trip
The Vision Team from Living Vine Community Church and Akron Alliance Fellowship has returned from their trip to Berlin, Germany, where they explored the possibility of partnering in ministry with the International Workers there. We are grateful to share that all travel was uneventful. While the team was in Berlin, there were three labor strikes—affecting the airport, garbage collection, and public transportation—that the church family may have heard about. Thankfully, these did not cause major disruptions, but instead provided insights into the culture and daily life in the city.
During their time in Berlin, the team participated in various activities designed to help them better understand the challenges faced by International Workers. They took part in guided tours, a short language class after which they ordered their own food in a restaurant, and training on how to contextualize the gospel. Additionally, the team joined in a prayer walk, prepared dinner for the International Workers, and visited the places where they minister. While they did not directly engage in ministry with the local people, they had meaningful discussions with the workers about their strategies and experiences on the field.
As the team reflects on their journey, please pray for them as they seek God’s guidance in discerning whether to move forward in partnership with this mission field. We are excited to see how God will lead!

Next Sermon Series

What if you could start life brand new? What would you need to know? What would you need to do? What if God could directly give you instructions about how to live? This may surprise you, but the answers to those questions have already been given. There was a day when God Talked About Everything. It’s known to us as the Sermon on the Mount.

Starting Easter Sunday, we are going to begin diving into what Jesus said about how to live a new life in Him. Jump in on this 10-week series as we look at The Day God Talked About Everything.

Join a Rooted Group

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers…and all who believed were together and had all things in common.”  (Acts 2:42, 44)

The believers of the early church were deeply connected to one another, to God and to their purpose as followers of Jesus.  Do you long for this type of connection?  Are you feeling a little stagnant in your spiritual growth?  How do we live like those early disciples in our modern lives?  Rooted groups are meant to help you practice the seven foundational rhythms of discipleship within a small group.  Being part of a Rooted group will help you deepen your connection to God, the Church, and your purpose.

Rooted groups will be starting in January. You can sign up for a group based on your availability.
