BUILDING A PASSIONATE GENERATION OF GOSPEL BELIEVERS.
When a child comes through Kids Ministry and moves into Youth Ministry, we want them to look a lot like 12 year old Jesus (Luke 2). We have multiple environments for Children from Nursery through 5th Grade.
We want to invite you to pre-register your kids for Kids Ministry. This will make your check in process smoother on your first visit. To check in your kids, you can pre-register, then visit the check in kiosks in the lobby or outside the nursery to sign in, or feel free to just come on in!
We have a great group of men and women who love Jesus and love sharing Him with kids. If parents/guardians have any questions, please feel free to ask! We'd like to get to know the parents/guardians of our children too!
We firmly believe in creating a safe and secure environment for your children. All our children’s ministry workers are Safe Place trained and background checked (over 16 years old) in order to volunteer with your children.
We offer Nursery for children 0-5 years old during Sunday morning hours as well as Wednesday nights. These rooms are located on the first floor at the far end of the lobby. Parents can sign their kids in at the Nursery door
Several times throughout the year we offer special events for kids and their families which may include Spring Family Day, End of School Year Spectacular, Fall Harvest Party, and Back to School Bash. We also have Camp Sonshine every summer-- a week-long program offered at various location in our communities. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram, or our Newsletter, where we broadcast these events as they come along.
Sunday Mornings
Childcare: Birth-5 years provided during the entire service in the nursery rooms on the main level. You can check in at any of the kiosks in the lobby or at the nursery room door.
K-5th Grade: You can check in your children at any of the kiosks in the lobby. After receiving your pickup label, you can take your child to the children's wing (upstairs) for an age an appropriate lesson.
At the end of service, parents will need to bring their labels upstairs to pick-up children from the children’s wing.
Wednesday Nights (during the school year)
Preschool-5th graders are greeted in the lobby by one of our volunteers and can check in at the kiosks to receive their pickup labels. Parents can then take their kids upstairs to the children’s ministry wing where the children are dropped off for the evening.
Parents will come back upstairs with their labels to pick-up their children. Please use the stairs in the lobby, and simply follow the red line to find where Wayfinders meet!
If you are new to the church, please stop by our Welcome Center. One of our volunteers will help you get your kids registered and checked in. They will also provide you with your pickup label that you will need to present when you pick your kids up after church.
To drop off & pick up your kids, you will use the stairway from the lobby to go upstairs to the Next Generation floor. To get to the kids rooms, you will simply follow the "red line" painted on the wall.
You may also want to take advantage of pre-registering your kids as well. This will allow you to get your family in the system before arriving. If you pre-register, you can go straight to the kiosks in the lobby, or outside the nursery to get your labels and pick up tags thorugh self check-in.
After your first visit, you can go directly to one of the kiosks in the lobby or by the nursery to check in your kid(s) and get your labels.
Without volunteers not very much would happen in the church. We encourage everyone to "come one & serve one." When you say yes to attending one service, and serving in another, that means your kids will be in Kids Ministry all morning. But don't worry, we've got you covered!
Each kids ministry class uses a different curriculum, so any child who stays for both services will receive two different lessons. In between services, they will go to Kids' Cove from 10:15-10:45a for a supervised, but unstructured time to play games and hang out with other kids before heading to their next class.
Absolutely! We believe that parents are the primary faith nurturers of their children. You are certainly welcome to keep your kids in the service for all, or even part of the time.
There are 5 things that some parents really like to keep their kids in service for. They are: Communion - Baptism - Baby Dedications - Missions Speakers - Music
All of these are great times for you to keep your kids with you. The first Sunday of each month we typically celebrate communion. It usually happens as part of the worship time toward the middle of the service.
If you would like to take your kids to their classes after these you can just slip out of the service and escort your kids to their room(s). Just remember to check your kids in first so you'll have your pick up tag for when church is over.
If it's necessary for us to contact you about your child while you are attending a service or group meeting, our kids ministry team will send you a text. Please make sure your cell number is correct on your child's record when you check them in.
